Pony pursuits are now offering STAY & PLAY sessions 🙂 Come and have a morning 9-12 or afternoon 1-4 at Huckleberry Farm for just £5 per person (1 accompanying adult free per paying child) and children under 1 are free. As a mother of 5, I know how expensive it is to have a day out and so this is why we have introduced a stand alone Stay & Play option. 

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE STAY & PLAY DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY ONE TO ONE PONY INTERACTION OR RIDING! PLEASE BOOK A RIDE & GROOM SESSION FOR THIS. THE STAY & PLAY IS INCLUDED WITH A RIDE AND GROOM AND SO YOU GET THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. 

Huckleberry Farm is easily accessible and is midway between Oxford and Bicester (google pony pursuits ox5 3du for directions or enter the what3words location AMBITIONS.BEHIND.REFILLED into the app) We have plenty of free parking, a portaloo, fresh water and hand sanitiser available.

We would advise forest school clothing and wellies for children and adults! Children under 1 can attend free without booking as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult. This is an unguided session and you are free to explore the farm. Here at Huckleberry Farm we two woodland areas with play equipment, it is a perfect area for picnics. You can pet the ponies over the fence (bring carrots or bananas for their full attention)! this is a perfect way for toddlers to see ponies up close before booking a ride. It is also a great meeting point for friends to relax in an easily accessible location.

Have a try at Garden Chess or hook a duck in the back garden or loan a fishing net and the viewing tank in the larger woodland area and children can fish in the tiny stream. All fishes & mini beasts must be observed and NOT handled, before being released back in the stream. There is also a fire pit and a wood stack for the boy scouts and brownies out there, who want to make smores or enjoy a hot drink. This equipment is for adult use only and you are fully responsible for those in your care AT ALL TIMES. Camping stove and kettle available to loan (gas cannisters cost £3 each please pay in cash on the day).

We have ponies, tame chickens and guinea pigs for you to pet. You can help collect eggs and feed the animals at certain times of the day (please ask). The stay and play is an unguided session and you are free to roam the farm freely, whilst adhering to any safety notices and shutting any gates that you open. If we are busy giving rides when you arrive, please feel free to go straight to one of the woodland areas and play. 

You can explore the two woodland areas and use the play equipment (swings, slide, sand pits, play house) You are welcome to bring a picnic and any boy scouts out there are welcome to light the firepit using the stack of wood available (at your own risk)! If you happen to have a stash of marshmallows with you! Children can let off steam in a relaxed, natural environment and at the end of their session they can choose a treat from our famous treat jar! 

Craft activities are available throughout the year ~ we currently have charm bracelet kits £1.25pp or real horseshoe decorating £4.50pp and we are opening our arts and crafts tram carriage mid July 2025. We plan to add more activities throughout the summer, so please like and follow for updates

😊 All proceeds will be used in the upkeep and care of the animals at Hucklberry farm. 

We also offer a private session where local groups and forest school teachers can meet.

For the adults we also have a 12ft rummage shed full of car boot priced house clearance items (vintage shed coming soon) free range eggs and seasonal produce. There is also horse manure for free (fresh) or for sale (prebagged /rotted) PLEASE ASK 

Parents / Accompanying adults must supervise the children in their care and are responsible for them at all times! Here at Pony Pursuits/Huckleberry Farm we endeavour to make the environment as safe as possible however, we not liable for any injury, damage or loss
